Every day of the week, Coolum's local surf instructors are on hand to help you learn to surf or improve your skills.
Beginner and intermediate classes are offered and lessons are open to participants aged 6 and older.
Online class reservations can be made, and your coach will be waiting for you at the truck located in Tickle Park, right next to the beach.
Visit the Coolum industrial estate to see the largest aqua park on the Sunshine Coast. Everyone six years old and older can enjoy it. A wide variety of inflatable attractions, such as slides, blast bags, trampolines, swings, balance beams, wobbling pads, and chill-out areas, can be found at the park. The Aqua Park is open all year long and will be a hit with your kids if they enjoy being in or around water.
The OzSki Resort is located on the same property as the Blast Aqua Park. It offers the opportunity to learn to water ski, wakeboard, ride a banana or tube boat, or simply relax in the cafe. It is open to beginners and skiers looking to advance their abilities. Birthday party group bookings are welcomed.
Chiggy's Indoor Skateboarding Park
Come check out the Sunshine Coast's first indoor skate park, which is situated in the Coolum Beach Industrial Park. All ages, talents, and styles are welcome at Chiggy's Skateboarding, which strives to offer the best skateboarding experience possible in a friendly, safe atmosphere. It is open for four, 3-hour sessions every day.
There is a lounge area upstairs with a window overlooking the park for onlookers. You have the option to chill out while setting up shop in the kitchen with coffee, iced beverages, and snacks with free wifi included.
Flicks in the Park
During the school holidays, Coolum hosts Flicks in the Park. Come down to Tickle Park (located next to the Coolum Surf Club) for a twilight screening of your favourite family-friendly movie. Hike Emu Mountain
Emu Mountain is an easy 20 min walk to the summit and it is suitable for the whole family to complete. To find the start of the trail, head to Coolum State High School, unfortunately, dogs and bikes are not permitted on this trail. This walk has stunning views of both the ocean and the hinterland. It is the perfect hike for first-time explorers to conquer.
